These terms govern your use of JeniFit (“the app”, “we”, “us”, the “Service”), both the iOS app and our website at jenifit.app. Using the app or the website means you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use them.
What JeniFit is
In short: A non-prescription weight-care app for women on iOS, the Jeni Method daily program, photo meal logging, a weight-trend Becoming tab, short at-home movement, guided breathwork, and an optional premium subscription.
JeniFit is a non-prescription weight-care app for women, on iOS. It runs the Jeni Method (a daily, multi-week program), lets you log meals by photo for calorie and macro estimates, surfaces your weight trend, BMI, step count, and activity in the Becoming tab, generates short at-home movement sessions (with optional on-device, camera-based plank form feedback), offers guided breathwork, and offers an optional premium subscription. JeniFit is a behavior and education tool, not a medical service or a substitute for medication, see the health + safety disclaimer below.
Eligibility
In short: 13+ to use the app. 18+ is the design audience.
You must be 13 or older (16 in the EU under GDPR) to use JeniFit. The app is designed for adult women aged 18 and over. By using the app, you confirm you meet this age requirement.
Your account
In short: Anonymous use is supported. Sign in with Apple or email if you want sync. You can delete your account from Settings at any time; deletion is permanent.
- Anonymous use is supported. You can complete onboarding and start working out without creating an account; data syncs to a device-scoped anonymous identity at Supabase.
- Apple ID or email sign-in lets you sync across devices and recover your data if you reinstall.
- You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
- You can delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete Account at any time. Deletion is permanent and unrecoverable. To also clear the on-device-only lifestyle answers (see our Privacy Policy for what those are), uninstall the app.
Subscription
In short: Three tiers, all handled by Apple. Annual is $47.99/year with a free 3-day trial. Quarterly is $24.99 every 3 months with a free 3-day trial. Weekly is $5.99/week, no trial. Auto-renews until you cancel, cancel at least 24 hours before renewal.

Auto-renewal disclosure
In short: Your subscription renews automatically at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period at the price disclosed at signup (Annual at $47.99/year, Quarterly at $24.99 per 3 months, Weekly at $5.99/week) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- To cancel: open iOS Settings → [your Apple ID] → Subscriptions → JeniFit → Cancel Subscription. Or, in the App Store app: tap your profile photo → Subscriptions → JeniFit → Cancel Subscription.
- You can view your subscriptions and next renewal dates at the same Settings location.
- Your Apple ID is charged at the start of each billing period. JeniFit never receives or stores your payment method.
Trial conversion
In short: If you started a free trial and didn't cancel before it ends, the subscription begins automatically and Apple charges you.
If you start a free trial (Annual or Quarterly) and don't cancel before it ends, your subscription begins automatically and your Apple ID is charged the full subscription price for that tier. You'll receive a local notification 24 hours before the trial ends as a reminder.
Grandfathering for existing subscribers
In short: If you subscribed before v1.0.6, you keep the price you signed up at.
Subscribers who purchased before v1.0.6 launched are grandfathered at their original price under Apple's “preserve current price for existing subscribers” mechanism. Specifically, prior tiers were $69.99/year with a 3-day free trial and $4.99/week. Your renewal price will not change unless you cancel and resubscribe, in which case the current pricing applies.
Refunds
In short: Refund requests are handled by Apple, not by us.
See Apple's refund policy. We can't issue refunds for App Store purchases ourselves.

Available in Settings → Account → Restore Purchases.
The website + free guides
In short: These terms also cover jenifit.app. If you give us your email for a free guide, you're agreeing to receive it and a few follow-up emails, unsubscribe anytime. The guides are general wellness information, not medical advice, and never require a purchase.
Our website (jenifit.app) and the free resources we offer there, downloadable guides and the “field notes” articles, are part of the Service and covered by these terms and our Privacy Policy.
- The free guide. When you request a free guide, you consent to receive it by email along with a short series of related follow-up emails. No purchase is ever required, and you can unsubscribe from all marketing email in one tap. We may change or stop offering any free resource at any time.
- It's information, not advice. The guides and articles are general wellness and educational information for healthy adults. They are not medical, nutritional, or fitness advice for your specific situation, not a diagnosis or treatment, and not a substitute for your doctor. The health + safety disclaimer below applies to this content too.
- Use them for yourself. The guides are licensed for your personal, non-commercial use, please don't resell, rebrand, or redistribute them.
Jeni, the in-app coach
In short: Jeni is a brand persona representing the founder's voice and product design. Not an AI assistant. Not a licensed individual. The audio you hear is pre-recorded and bundled with the app, not generated in real time.
Jeni is the in-app coach persona. The audio cues, lesson voiceovers, and breathwork prompts you hear are pre-recorded audio bundled with the app , synthesized offline using a third-party voice tool (ElevenLabs) and reviewed for accuracy before each release ships. Jeni's audio is not generated in real time, is not personalized to your in-app inputs at runtime, and is not interactive in the way a chatbot or AI assistant would be. References elsewhere in the app to Jeni being “with you” or “by your side” describe the design intent of the coaching content, not a real-time AI relationship.
Earlier marketing material may have used the phrase “AI coach” in passing. As of v1.0.6, the operative description is the one above: a pre-recorded persona, not an AI agent.

In short: JeniFit is a consumer fitness app, not medical advice. Not a HIPAA-covered entity. Consult a doctor before starting a new exercise routine. Stop if you feel pain.

- Consult a doctor before starting any new exercise routine, especially if you have a pre-existing condition, are pregnant or postpartum, are on weight-related medication (including GLP-1 receptor agonists), or have not exercised recently.
- The pose-tracking feature gives general form feedback. It is not a substitute for in-person coaching or physical therapy.
- Breathwork sessions (cyclic sighing, box breathing, and the rest of the v1.0.6 breathwork module) are general wellness exercises. They are not medical interventions for anxiety, hyperventilation syndromes, panic disorder, or any clinical condition. If you experience dizziness, tingling, or any unusual sensation, stop the session.
- BMI, weight trends, projected goal-pace projections, step targets, and any non-scale wins surfaced in the Becoming tab are general health-information references, not clinical diagnoses or recommendations.
- Step counts read from Apple Health are estimates produced by your iPhone or paired devices. We do not validate them against medical instruments.
- Stop the workout if you feel pain, dizziness, or unusual discomfort. We are not liable for injuries sustained while using the app.
User content
In short: JeniFit doesn't currently accept user-uploaded content. The decorative photos on the welcome screen are licensed creator imagery, not user uploads, not before/after comparisons.

If JeniFit adds user-uploaded content features in the future (for example, progress photos or written reflections), separate terms will govern that content, including license to display, moderation rights, and deletion rights. We will surface those terms in-app before any such feature is enabled.
Intellectual property
In short: JeniFit, the name, and the visual identity are ours. Workout content, voice clips, and sticker art are licensed for personal in-app use. Your data is yours.
- JeniFit, the JeniFit name, the “Jeni” persona, the logo, and the visual identity belong to us.
- Workout content, voice clips, sticker artwork, exercise animations, and the Jeni Method lessons are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use within the app. You may not extract, redistribute, or rebuild a competing product from them.
- Your data, what you log in the app, belongs to you.
What you can't do
- Use the app for anything illegal or harmful.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the app's code or assets.
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) against our backend.
- Resell or sublicense access to JeniFit.
- Submit false personal data to circumvent age restrictions or fraudulently obtain a subscription.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, attack our infrastructure, or engage in fraud. We'll notify you when practical, and you keep the right to a refund of any unused paid period if Apple's refund policy permits.
Changes to these terms
In short: We'll bump the “Last updated” date and surface an in-app notice on next launch for non-trivial changes.
The current version reflects iOS app v1.0.6 and the jenifit.app website. If we make material changes, we'll bump the “Last updated” date above and (for non-trivial changes) surface an in-app notice on next launch. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
Liability
JeniFit is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
This does not limit liability for things that can't be limited under applicable law (e.g., gross negligence in some jurisdictions).
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
